Hello All!
The Bedford High School Parent Association is assembling a family
style cookbook for the fall. With all the emphasis on cooking shows and
cooking magazines, families have really gone back to the kitchen together. How
nice to share what we do as a family. This should be great fun! We are putting
the notice out now, so that we may have the summer to collect the recipes. Recipes
can be submitted as a Word doc attachment or in the body of an email to Carleen
West at leenie0667@hotmail.com,
or you can mail your type-written recipe to Carleen West,
The following is the criteria for the cookbooks...
1. Any recipe is fine, even if you acquired it from a magazine or a cookbook.
We are looking for ones that you have tried and know work. You may submit as
many as you wish. The more the merrier!
2. Please have the title of the recipe and the submitter of the
recipe on the email with full name. You want your credit! Using similar
symbols is helpful as well: C for cup, TB for tablespoon, tsp for teaspoon,
etc.
3. This is not just limited to parents. High Schoolers, we want your input as
well. Your favorite afternoon snack??? Fried peanut butter sandwiches anyone? School personnel, teachers, administrators,
coaches, support staff – show us what you’ve got! If you like, include your year of graduation,
or position at the school along with your name.
4. Let's make this fun and personal. If your recipe has an anecdote or a family
history, please include it. What great reading for others to learn your family
background and traditions! Don't forget to include grandma's tried and true
favorites; however, getting her to commit to measured amounts could be a
challenge.
5. If you have something really humorous, there will be a section in the back
for that. This would be a recipe that doesn't really make anything other than
make you laugh!
I hope this has intrigued everyone to share their favorite foods. I look
forward to hearing from all of you. My number is 617-733-5384 if you have any
questions.
