Thanksgiving Bonfire
The Thanksgiving bonfire is an old and popular tradition in Bedford. It is held on the green outside the High School for the school and town communities on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day, on the eve of the historic Bedford vs. Concord-Carlisle Thanksgiving Day Football Game. Volunteers are usually needed for careful construction of the pile of wood. A pep rally in the gym precedes the bonfire. All parents and families are invited to come and enjoy the harvest atmosphere, which is a way of celebrating all sports at Bedford High.
